Hello Friends,
Christmas is at the corner and the trees have lighted our environment as well as our hearts with Joy. The other day a dear friend of mine asked me how she can get herself a Christmas dress and for a second it occurred to me that mummies always did the Christmas shopping for us. Guess what? Now, we are all grown up and have to do the shopping for ourselves.
Here are some tips on what to watch out for when shopping for Christmas
Dresses:
• A unique dress that flatters your shape
• watch out for colours in red, gold, and green for the season
• And you don’t have to rob a bank
Accessories
• If you go with the red dress u may want to highlight in silver sandals and a clutch
• The gold dress is well flattered with a touch of army green shoes and a stud earring
• Green is loud in itself, but let’s celebrate the season with silver on green
Looks
• Can I hear somebody say curly reflects excitement? Yeah friends! Let’s go curly for Christmas.
• Braids won’t be a bad idea but, be ready to spend hours in the saloons because of the rush.
• Make up must be flawless. I have already gotten a gold eye shadow for the season
• Try gold as base and do the shadow thing with any loud colour that compliments your outfit.
I believe I have been able to settle some of our concerns for the season. Have a lovely Christmas and don’t forget the reason for the season.

Little talks
Hello Friends,
How are you preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas? I know you will be wondering why I said thanksgiving, thanksgivings because is also a time in the year where you have to consciously look back and thank God almighty for all he has done for you.
I have started looking back myself and to my greatest surprise God truly blessed me this year. I am more mature, older, experienced and getting closer to my latter years. Anyway before I bore you with my thanksgiving, I have been reading a special book and I think I want to share some of the tips in the chapter that I am reading with you. They are little bites but hard to chew, make sure you chew it slowly to enjoy every juice and nutrient available…
John .c. Maxwell
“Desire isn’t enough
Good intentions aren’t enough
Talent isn’t enough”
Michael E. Angier goes like this
“Ideas are worthless
Intentions have no power
Plans are nothing…unless they are followed with action”.
Good enough we had good ideas and plans in 2009, but in 2010 we must begin to do. And guess how this can be achieved by forgetting those things that are behind and looking on to the things that are before us Elbert Hubbard “a retentive memory may be a good thing, but the ability to forget is a true token of greatness. Successful people forget because they know the past is irrevocable.
We must decide to forget the pass and while looking forward to the future, focus on the one area we have some control which is today.
Have I great day and keep reading my blog,
Much love

Skincare
Hello friends,
This week we are focusing on skincare. The weather is embracing harmattan, which makes the skin dry and tight. To tackle the problem, we have to identify our different skin types
· Normal skins: the normal skin feels soft and supple to touch, is pimple-free and does not have any flaky or oily areas.
· Dry skin: the dry skin feels taunt and can appear flaky, with small pores and a dull tone.
· Oily Skin; has a shine and is easily prone to breakouts.
· Combination or sensitive skin: feels dry and flaky on the cheeks but greasy on the t-zone or the forehead, nose and chin. The sensitive skin is fragile, prone to itching, chafing and stinging.
Step 1
Start a skincare regiment. It isn’t enough to wash your face with body soap in the shower .Choose a facial cleanser according to your skin type. Over cleansing in this season can dry out the face worse than sun or wind. Avoid any cleanser with alcohol.
Step 2
Exfoliate your skin weekly to get the top layer dead skin off your face. For all skin types choose a gentle scrub with tiny grains. Those with oily or combination skin, an addition of an astringent to your regimen will be totally helpful.
Step 3
A lot of moisturizing is ideal for the season for all skin types. Sensitive skin should ensure the content of their moisturizer contains hypo-allergic to prevent irritation. After cleansing, do not dry skins completely, leave the face slightly damp to get best results. Apply a facial moisturizer at least twice a day; morning and night.
With these steps, we can feel and look good even in Harmattan.I am already enjoying the benefits please join me…

Dear Friends,
I have started a beauty/fashion styling business and in this forum I intend to write tips on fashion as well as beauty tips. Some days I will tell you about my fashion flop, the cons in the fashion world, achieving a flawless skin, the new designers around, where and how to achieve what you see the stars wearing, some other days I will write about the inner beauty, how to get rid of the clothes you are bore of…… Stay tuned and enjoy
Eye Makeup tips
· Stick with neutral colours till you are confident enough to get adventurous with colours.
· Practise on your face until you find what is right for your eye.
· You will need a good quality eye shadow applicator, eyeliner brush and an eye lid comb to achieve a great eye makeup.
· Make sure you have a concealer to prevent dark circles under your eyes.
· When applying eye makeup try as much as possible to do it under a natural light to avoid falsehood of looks from artificial light.
· If you are wearing a soft, subtle eye makeup colour, add some colours to your lips, high light your cheek bone with a blusher or bronzer.
· You can’t achieve a beautiful makeup without a clear skin. So, to care for your skin do the three steps magic
-cleanse
-moisturize
-protect
· Remove all makeup before going to bed.
